Creek Ranch, the Working Cattle & Guest Ranch in New Mexico, USA

Creek-Ranch

Since 2013 the Pecos Valley Ranch is leased to the Creek Ranch LLC (creek-ranch.com). The German lady managers Andrea Behrens & Claudia Schnettler operate the old cattle business together with the foreman Joe Nichols und the ranch hand Joseph and offer to guests a fascinating riding vacation on one of the most beautiful working cattle and guest ranches in the wild southwest of the USA.

This working guest ranch offers 8,200 acres of breathtaking southwestern landscape formed by the wild Pecos River and the picturesque Carrizo Creek. Here Apaches and Comanche Indians once were roaming here. Later (1840) Spanish settlers came to stay and built big sheep and cattle ranches. Billy the Kid and his band liked staying here with friends.

This is real ranch and cowboy land right out of old western films. The guests will have unforgettable horseback vacations in a ranch family. The Creek ranch is a genuine working cattle and guest ranch and no fancy dude ranch.

Creek Ranch LLC (www.Creek-Ranch.com) has established on its own responsibility a Working Cattle & Guest Ranch business on Pecos Valley Ranch and owns all ranch machinery and its own stock, especially the horses needed for the Working Cattle & Guest Ranch business.

The Ranchland of Pecos Valley Ranch leased to Creek Ranch

In 2013 the ranchland encompasses approximately 8.200 acres of deeded and leased land. The land is old (since the 1850th) cattle and sheep land with lots of ruins and relicts of the people, who lived here. The northern border of the Pecos Valley Ranch is part of the Pecos River valley. The Pecos River flows several miles through the ranch. The western pastures are the Creek pasture, where the springs of the Carritzo Creek well yearlong and start the lush arroyo of the creek. The eastern pastures are on the high mesa on the boundary of the Llano Estacado, dotted with Pinon and Juniper trees and the very special plants of the dry area.

This is real ranch and cowboy land right out of old western films.
